This is another one of our Fortnite Songs (for an album of Fortntie songs to be released sometime in March/April I suppose).

Sometimes everything is going perfect. You're playing with your team, you have basically had a peaceful landing, no ones shooting at you and you are living the dream. Then, out of nowhere, destruction comes swiftly and the world feels like it's ending and you instantly have a small heart attack.

That encapsulates this song.

I had a LOT of fun mixing this song. As always, Mama Katie (aka Katie Dwyer) is a master vocal mixer, arranger, editor. Her “ooh” background vocals are LEGENDARY. I made the music like this to reflect the extreme panic one feels in these situations. Mixing this song felt like mixing TWO songs. I tried to make it so that the punk/metal section hit HARD when it came in. I did a lot of different EQ and compression on the “metal” sections. But I still wanted it to be possible to hear the vocals. Not an easy balance, but a fun challenge.
